Steve has been CEO of Yachting Victoria since August 2011. His role reports to the Board and is responsible for:
Assisting the Board in developing Yachting Victoria's Strategic Plan and its implementation.
Ensuring the effective governance and financial management of Yachting
Managing relationships with the Victorian State Government, its agencies and major member clubs.
Leading the Yachting Victoria staff team.Recommending policies to the Board for their approval.

Club and Participation Development
At Yachting Victoria, Sam is responsible for the development of the sport within clubs through projects and programs aimed at encouraging participation, improving program delivery within clubs, and increasing the involvement of women in sailing. His role sees him oversee grants from Sport and Recreation Victoria, the Commonwealth of Australia, and Vic Health.
He holds a Bachelor of Recreation Management and has been at Yachting Victoria since December 2004.
Sarah Ogilvie (Sailability Co-ordinator)
We are delighted that Sarah will be joining the Yachting Victoria/Sailability Victoria team. Working with the Sailability Committee, Sarah will focus on participation based initiatives across the network of Sailability centres, as well as on the true inclusion of Sailability programs and Sailability sailors into club activities.
Sarah brings to the role a wealth of sailing, coaching and education based experience. Most notably she has competed in two Olympic Games, has coached at international, state and club level, and recently completed a Diploma of Education. Sarah has fulfilled the role as an Olympic Education Ambassador for the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC). Sarah has also completed a Bachelor of Design degree at Swinburne University and was instrumental in the design and roll-out of recent YV sailing pathway collateral.

Gavin comes to Yachting Victoria from the Royal Yacht Club of Victoria where he spent two years as their Sail Training and Development Manager. In that time he developed their training department to where it won the Yachting Victoria Training Center of the year in 2011. He also won the Yachting Australia Sports Promotion award in the same year.

Chelsey is graduating from her Commerce Degree at Deakin Uni. She has had experience working with membership and volunteers at Melbourne Vicotry FC and Cricket Australia. She has also completed placement with North Melbourne Football Club in Finance and Admin.

Sean has enjoyed a distinguished sailing career as a member of Sandringham YC, Blairgowrie YS and Albert SC, as well as the Laser, Etchell and J24 Classes.

Elisha Keating (Communications Officer)
Elisha has spent the past four months with YV as an intern, focussing mainly on ISAF Sailing World Cup - Melbourne related communications, marketing and events. This has been as part of completing a Sports Management Degree through Ballarat University.
Elisha's will play a support role in relation to ISAF Sailing World Cup - Melbourne marketing, events and operations, whilst also dividing her energies across the areas of race officials administration, team sailing, and YV communications projects.

David Vickers (Accountant)
David is Yachting Victoria’s accountant, responsible for the day to day finances of the organisation. David is a point of contact for financial enquiries from current funding providers.
David spent thirty years as a competitive keel boat sailor. He now lists golf amongst his hobbies.
