Have presented for Leadership Victoria on the financial responsibilities of NFP Board members and currently run pro bono financial skills builder sessions for them.

Qualifications – My original qualification is as a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and I was a former Partner in a firm in London.

Sailing Highlights –
I have been sailing since the age of 3; in early years this was cruising with my family around the Solent in the UK. Later I joined the Junior Offshore Group and competed in a number of cross Channel races as well as a few Cowes Weeks. I joined RMYS soon after moving to Melbourne in 1999. Currently crew there most Saturdays as well as jumping on a J24 down at Sandringham every other Sunday! Competed in a number of AWKRs. 2010 Melbourne /Launceston, 2011 Melbourne /Stanley and Melbourne/Hobart, 2012 Dennis Conner International Yacht Club Challenge – New York, 2013 J24 Nationals

Sailing Highlights – Enjoyed the experience of competing in ten World Championships. Best results Top 10 International Contender World Championships, 2nd Fireball European Championships and 1st Sabre National Championships. Currently actively competing in SB20 sportsboats.

Professional Experience – Fund Manager, currently Portfolio Manager/Shareholder in boutique SG Hiscock & Co, previously Head of Global Asset Allocation at BT Financial Group & Rothschild Australia Asset management

Other – Father of three teenage daughters who are sailors; one in 29ers, one in 420's and the other in Minnows.

Other governance roles in sailing, past and present -Linda spent a period as Commodore at RMYS. During this period the club’s major marina re-development was just one of the projects Linda played a key role in. Linda spent the best part of a decade in RMYS leadership roles, as well as being part of YV committees in the Facilities and Infrastructure Project, and Women and Girls in Sailing. 

Other roles, either career or volunteer, past or present – Linda is a lawyer working with Trescox Lawyers in Melbourne.

Other Roles, either career or volunteer past or present -Founder of a Payroll & Human Resource software development and marketing company (1992), founder and CEO of trybooking.com.

Sailing Experience - A member of the Royal Brighton Yacht Club and the Ocean Racing Club Victoria with two children that have just complete 6 years in the youth training program (Sabot) at Brighton, with participation in both the States and National titles. As the owner of an Elan Impression 434 yacht we regularly participate in twilight and ocean races and with absolute pleasure from time to time to crew a Couta boat.

Sailing Achievements - Festival of Sails 1st Cruising non spinnaker, Melbourne to Stanley 1st PHS, Royal Brighton YC Commodores Award , Yachting Victoria President's Award, Cruising YC Australia SOLAS Trusts Award and AMSA Australian SAR Award.
