Sorrento Sailing and Couta Boat Club hosted the opening round of the John Middleton Trophy Series. Nine School Teams from around Melbourne and Geelong raced in stunning conditions just offshore from the club. New Victorian laws ban smoking where children play

As of 1 April 2014, smoking is banned at outdoor areas where children are playing, swimming or particpating in sport. This creates healthier, smoke-free environments where children and young people can enjoy themselves without being exposed to harmful second-hand tobacco smoke. The bans also aim to make smoking less visible and so less socially acceptable to children and young people.more

Lake Bolac Easter Regatta

After a successful first year in 2013 Yachting Western Victoria, Lake Bolac Yacht Club and the Lake Bolac community welcomed back the Easter Regatta over the Easter long weekend this year.

The regatta was a great success with 53 entries for the weekend, a total of five races were run with the 6th unfortunately being abandoned due to the turn in weather.more
